This is what transpired
RN Meena, a retired IAS officer, was aboard a bus from Jaipur to Nayla on Friday. When the bus failed to halt at the location where the IAS was expected to disembark, Meena and the conductor got into a heated quarrel.
Kanota Station House Officer (SHO) Uday Singh stated that Meena was expected to get out at the Kanota bus stop on Agra Road. However, according to NDTV, the conductor did not notify him when the bus arrived in Kanota and instead proceeded directly to the next stop, Nayla.
Meena was ordered to pay an extra ₹10 at Nayla for the extra distance he had unintentionally traveled. An altercation resulted from the retired IAS officer's refusal.
The bus conductor was seen pushing the retired bureaucrat in a video taken by another traveler. In reaction, Meena was then observed slapping the conductor, who was later identified as Ghanshyam Sharma. The conductor was observed slapping Meena repeatedly as the debate turned into a violent altercation.
Meena lodged a complaint against Sharma at the Kanota police station on Saturday, according to SHO Uday Singh. "With regard to the alleged attack, we have filed a formal complaint. The incident's footage has gone viral. We also asked JCTSL for more information regarding the incident," an official stated, adding that victim accounts would be recorded. Teams have been sent to apprehend the perpetrator and interrogate the attackers.
