Three districts in Manipur were placed under curfew due to rocket and drone attack.

In light of the ongoing unrest in the state, three districts of Manipur were placed under curfew on Tuesday.

With new violent occurrences and protests adding to the unrest, the war in Manipur has flared up once more. A curfew has been implemented in the districts of Thoubal, Imphal East, and Imphal West due to the increase in violence in the state.

The Imphal East and Imphal West district magistrates had already issued an order easing the curfew in their respective districts from 5 to 10 a.m. on Tuesday. The DMs stated in a release that the curfew was reinstated in both districts and that the relaxation order was canceled effective at 11 a.m. due to the districts' "developing law and order situation" on Tuesday.

In the last few days, Manipur has seen an increase in violence. On September 6, an RPG attack occurred in Moirang, in the state's Bishnupur district, killing a person who was doing a pooja at Mairembam Koireng Singh, the first chief minister of Manipur. The explosion was so powerful that it broke through the house's walls.
