Defence Minister Rajnath Singh emphasized during his speech at the Distinguished Visitors' Day event that the exercise demonstrates India's dedication to fortifying defence ties and promoting a culture of collective security.
On Thursday, Rajnath Singh, the minister of defence, hailed the global exercise 'Tarang Shakti' as an important attempt to improve coordination, cooperation, and trust among partner nations. Singh emphasized during his speech at the Distinguished Visitors' Day ceremony that the exercise is a reflection of India's dedication to fortifying defense ties and promoting a culture of common security.
Through Tarang Shakti, India has not only strengthened its military ties with its allies but also shown the world that we can rely on one another in times of need, Singh said.
This practice demonstrates our commitment to cooperation and peaceful coexistence.
He talked about the important lessons that may be learned when soldiers with different experiences and backgrounds work together on such intricate and extensive exercises. "There is a rich exchange of knowledge and skills resulting from different work cultures, air combat experiences, and war-fighting principles," he continued.

The minister of defense emphasized how the Indian Air Force has changed since gaining independence, going from having only six squadrons and little equipment to having some of the most cutting-edge aircraft and cutting-edge equipment in the world. He declared, "The Indian Air Force is outfitted with the greatest and most advanced aircraft today, demonstrating our progress and capability."
Singh also cited recent developments in India's defense industry, such as the cooperation between Safran Helicopter Engines and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited. He emphasized that India has changed from being a net importer of weapons to a major exporter, with defense equipment currently being exported to about 90 nations. The indigenization of our domestic defense sector has advanced significantly, according to Singh, especially in the manufacturing of sensors, radars, electronic warfare systems, and light combat aircraft.
Attendees included senior military commanders from ally nations, as well as Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Gen Anil Chauhan, Chief of Air Staff (CAS) Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Upendra Dwivedi, and Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Adm Dinesh K Tripathi. Highlights included performances by the LCA Tejas, LCH Prachand, Sarang, and SKAT teams, as well as exhibitions by the Agniveer Vayu Women Air Warrior Drill Team (AWDT).
Additionally, 68 industry participants presenting state-of-the-art defense technologies participated in the event. The second phase of the exercise, IDAX-24, with contributions from seven participating countries and twenty-one observer countries, highlighted the significance of international collaboration, dialogue, and expertise exchange, further strengthening India's position in the global aerospace and defense sectors.
