Shahid Kapoor wants his kids to prioritize values over showbiz

The Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor has followed in the footsteps of his father, Pankaj Kapur, but he does not want his children to follow in his footsteps. He recently stated in an interview that he does not want his children to pursue careers in the field.

Shahid tells

On Raj Shamani's podcast Figuring Out, Shahid discussed children and the reasons he doesn't want them to pursue careers in Bollywood. Shahid and Mira Rajput are wed, and they have a son named Zain and a daughter named Misha.

"There are a lot of things that I don't want them to take away from me," says Kaafi Saari Cheezein Hai. I believe they are both naturally more self-assured, which is what I want. I wasn't naturally so self-assured. I would prefer not to have them perform my duties; imagine that. Kuch aur karo, bahut rough hai, bahut up and down hota hai yaar.

Refrain from acting. Take a different action. It's really difficult and there are a lot of ups and downs.) If they want to, they can, but I would advise them to pick something straightforward because this is extremely complicated," Shahid remarked.

He also discussed what he wants to teach his children in the same interview. "I always try to do the right thing, and I always do the right thing, regardless of whether I like it, whether someone else does, or whether it is harmful to me," he said.
