Aamir Khan calls Sitaare Zameen Par entertaining, confirms shooting started

Actor Aamir Khan takes a minute to provide updates about his next projects, including the much awaited Sitaare Zameen Par sequel to Taare Zameen Par, while attending the Republic Day 2025 celebrations at Gujarat's Statue of Unity.

Aamir was asked whether any of his next ventures would be filmed in the state while he was talking to the media about his bizarre experience at the 2025 Republic Day celebrations. Sitaare Zameen Par's climax was filmed in Vadodara, Gujarat, according to Aamir.

He stated, "The sequel to Taare Zameen Par is Sitaare Zameen Par, and the climax of that movie was shot in Vadodara."

Actor Darsheel Safary, who played the young Ishaan in Taare Zameen Par, has reconciled with Aamir after 16 years apart. Aamir also discussed how Gujarat has evolved over time, reflecting on his longstanding relationship with the state.

"My father shot a lot of his movies in Gujarat when I was a kid. I would come here because I was so little at the time. All of those memories have suddenly returned to me today," he remarked.

"For a very long time, Gujarat has been tightly linked to filmmaking. With close ties to art, culture, and film, it's a tremendously lively city. "We would absolutely love to come here and shoot from the perspective of the film industry," he stated.

Aamir stated at an event that his next movie, Sitaare Zameen Par, which tells the tale of Ishaan's journey, will be released before the end of this year with a Christmas premiere in mind.

"Sitaare Zameen Par is my upcoming feature film as a lead actor. Our goal is to release it in time for Christmas at the end of this year. I enjoy the plot, and the movie is engaging. "The film's production has commenced," he declared.

Aamir is producing Sitaare Zameen Par in addition to acting in it, while Genelia D'Souza is anticipated to play a significant part in the movie.
