On September 21, the day of the four-nation summit, PM Modi is expected to arrive in the US.

The main objectives of the Quad Leaders Summit are to further our common goal of an open and free Indo-Pacific region, strengthen the strategic convergence between our nations, and provide tangible advantages for our partners in the Indo-Pacific in important domains. According to Jean-Pierre, these include cybersecurity, health security, reaction to natural disasters, marine security, high-quality infrastructure, crucial and emerging technology, and clean energy and climate change.
In November 2017, Australia, Japan, India, and the US engaged in the long-overdue formation of the Quad to develop a new strategy to keep the vital water routes in the Indo-Pacific free of any influence.
On September 22, PM Modi will not only be present at the Quad summit but will also be having bilateral talks with the leaders of partner nations. He will also be addressing an Indian community function in New Jersey. On September 23, he will also take part in the Summit of the Future.
According to the United Nations official website, the Summit of the Future will result in an intergovernmentally negotiated, action-oriented Pact for the Future that includes chapters on youth and future generations, international peace and security, science, technology, and innovation and digital cooperation, sustainable development and financing for development, and transforming global governance.
