Shubman Gill's revamped Indian team has arrived in Harare for the upcoming five-match T20I series against Zimbabwe. Taking charge of the team following Rohit Sharma's successful leadership in the ICC T20 World Cup, Gill is joined by VVS Laxman, the interim head coach from the National Cricket Academy. The series will kick off with the first match against Zimbabwe on Saturday.

 

The Harare Sports Club will host all the games of the bilateral series. The last T20I of the series is scheduled for Sunday, July 14. India's youthful team includes many talented players from the Indian Premier League (IPL).

 

Following India's T20 World Cup victory in the Caribbean, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to give a break to experienced players and has recognized the outstanding performances of Riyan Parag and Abhishek Sharma during the IPL 2024.

 

The schedule for India's tour of Zimbabwe includes the following fixtures:
- July 6: India vs Zimbabwe, 1st T20I at Harare Sports Club, 4:30PM IST
- July 7: India vs Zimbabwe, 2nd T20I at Harare Sports Club, 4:30PM IST
- July 10: India vs Zimbabwe, 3rd T20I at Harare Sports Club, 4:30PM IST
- July 13: India vs Zimbabwe, 4th T20I at Harare Sports Club, 4:30PM IST
- July 14: India vs Zimbabwe, 5th T20I at Harare Sports Club, 4:30PM IST

 

The T20I series between India and Zimbabwe will be broadcasted live on the Sony Sports Network and can also be streamed live on the SonyLIV app and website in India.
